Why buy handmade products?
In today's culture of mass production and global manufacturing, the connection between the consumer and producer has been lost. And although there are many reasons we think you should support local artisans and crafters, we believe that reconnecting with the producer is the most important. We want to encourage you to become a conscious consumer, and consider where your products come from, who makes them and how, and the effect that has on our environment and our childrens' future. Do you guarantee your products?
Yes! We guarantee that all our products are quality handcrafted goods. Seams are serged and top-stitched (where appropriate) and our items are made to be durable -- usually the quality is better than ready-made! All our fabrics are pre-washed (to remove fabric factory residue) and pre-shrunk. We use quality fabrics and thread, even though they cost a bit more. Our studio is clean and our home is smoke-free. We stand behind our work and we value our repeat customers. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and come back to buy from us again and again.
What about warranty & returns?
All our products are covered by a limited 90-day warranty. This warranty covers manufacturing defects such as faulty elastic, malfunctioning or detached snaps, and other manufacturing flaws. We will repair or replace (at our discretion) any item that has a manufacturing defect within 90 days from the date of purchase, including the shipping charges. Please note that normal wear and tear is not a manufacturing defect, and this warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is not available on secondhand goods. Items marked as "Seconds" are sold as-is, and are not covered by our product warranty. To make a warranty claim please contact us and we will work to make things right.
If you receive your order and it is the wrong size or you are unhappy for any reason, you may return it in new, unused, unwashed condition within 30 days of purchase. However, you will be responsible for the return shipping charges (shipping to Alberta, Canada). Also we ask that you include a reason for your return along with the original sales receipt so we can process your return promptly and credit your Paypal account accordingly.
Please note that custom orders are final sale, and cannot be returned. However, manufacturing defects on custom orders are covered under our 90 day lilmited warranty (see above).
How much for shipping?
We make an effort to keep our shipping charges as low as possible. All purchases ship via Canada Post, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. For combined purchases, if the shipping total is lower than what you are charged, we will refund the difference via Paypal no later than 2 days after your package has shipped. We do not make a profit on shipping & do not charge a handling fee.
